I have an antique strand of pearls from 1968 that came in a box marked "Chindar". What is Chindar?

I purchased a 3 strand antique AAA+ rated pearl necklace. The only information I have on it was that it was purchased in 1968 and was appraised in 1969 for $1,700.00. It came with the original box with a wax stamped tag indicating the rating and date. No purchase price, no indication other than it is a natural pearl and perfect match. It came with the original box in it's linen wrap. The box is marked "Chindar" with an Asian house or temple type logo. Anyone heard of a pearl manufacturer by this name? I am trying to find out maybe the origin of where this necklace came from...China, Japan, etc??? Hoping the are Akoya pearls but don't know.
