Psychics and spiritualist people: A few years ago a psychic told me that i was Padre Pio in a previous life.?

I thought this was very cool because I was kind of a fan of P.P. even though nobody knew this about me. The problem is I was born more than a decade before P.P. died. Knowing this I just umed that my psychic was fake and I never saw her again. The obvious answer, of course, is that all psychics are fake but that answer isn't helpful. I'd like to know from somebody who has some insight why that woman would have connected me with that particular person. It would have been much simpler to tell me I was Cleopatra or Nefertiti. Obviously I couldn't have been Padre Pio but is there some other connection that a psychic could have picked up on that would have led her to say that.
