WHAT TO DO IF THE GUY I LIKE IS TOTALLY CAREFREE AND NOT INTRESTED IN COMMITMENT?

there is this guy i like .he has all the qualities which i like in a person and he is a good friend of mine though sometimes i feel a bit akward around him. he is intelligent witty and funny , always ready to make people smile, friendly but carefree dosnt want emotional hangups what to do??
