popular girls always lead unpopular guys on, most of the time not realizing that they're being a little too friendly. but maybe she relaly does like you!! my suggestion, break out of your shell with her and try to flirt with her, but don't be so straight forward that it ruins the friendship you have with her. yah know? be a cute nerd and call her cute or something along those lines, and if she flirts back than go in for more :)
