Winter housebreaking for a hairless dog?
I live in NYC and recently got a chinese crested (hairless) dog. He shakes and gets cold when the weather dips at night...and it's May and we wears a coat. I'm trying to figure out what to do about housebreaking when the winter comes. Right now he is trained to go to the bathroom outside. Should we start wee wee pad training him now in anticipation of the winter?? We can try to take him out in the winter but honestly, he will freeze and there are no coats or anything that I can find that will be thick enough & cover every part of his gangly little body. Any advice would be appreciated.
