You wanna know why our (USA) economy is pathetic? Because of the World Trade Center.?

You can keep your two cents. The World Trade Center was called that as a marketing promotion, not because it actually was THE center of world trade. Certainly New York, including, but not limited to, the WTC is AN important center for world trade, but it isn't the only one. After the attacks there was some temporary and relatively minor disruption of the economy, but it was hardly what you are making it out to be. Building a new center will not solve US economic problems.
